Lawrence Okolie Vs Isaac Chamberlain has been a feud that has been on a slow cooker for a number of years. However, Eddie Hearn and world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua have managed to get these two young cruiserweight boxers to put their reputation and careers on the line. On 3rd February, in London at the O2 arena, this British Beef will be decided!

Both boxers gave different accounts of how and who started their beef. Lawrence says it came from ‘jealousy‘. Whereas Isaac says it is because of Lawrence’s ‘ego‘. Either way, we will have weeks of talking but as soon as the bell rings at the o2 arena, only one fighter will be able to say they ended the beef!

In this video, both boxers tell their side of the story.

One of the key talking points at the press conference was Lawrence Okolie’s Olympic pedigree. Isaac said Lawrence ‘only went to the Olympics just to show face’. But Lawrence defended his Olympian status.

Another talking point of the press conference was the mention of another boxer- Richard Riakporhe. Allegedly he had signed to fight Lawrence on 13th December. However, the offer from Matchroom boxing was supposedly withdrawn. Yet, another twist in the story for Richard is the fact he is also Isaac’s sparring partner and he is a friend of Lawrence Okolie.

Here’s Richard telling his side of the story and predict how the fight will go.

As you can see from the interview with Richard, Anthony Joshua is a very involved partner in this fight. Joshua will be co-promoting the fight with Eddie Hearn. He already has Lawrence Okolie under his management. So, it seems like the current world heavy champion is preparing for life after boxing.

Here’s Joshua discussing the fight, but also our interview with him on what both fighters have to offer in this British Beef.

Finally, here are our two interviews with the main event fighters themselves. Both men are confident in their abilities and both know that a loss will really derail their careers!
