David Haye has tweeted that after months of negotiations his rematch with Tony Bellew is a go-ahead; if Tony Bellew signs the contract. We think Bellew should put down the commentary microphone and put on his gloves for another entertaining December fight! Haye had talked of wanting to fight Anthony Joshua, but if he is not able to beat Bellew there will be little interest or belief in his chances of beating the far bigger Joshua.

The potential fights’ location and date have not been confirmed. However, the BBC has reported that it will take place at the o2 Arena on Sunday 17th December.
No doubt Haye would like to rectify his 11th round stoppage from Bellow in March earlier this year. Haye suffered an Achilles injury in the sixth round before bellow was able to finish him off in the 11th round. Many people, Haye included, believe that the result of the fight may have been different if Haye had full stability on both of his legs. Whereas, others are less confident in Haye’s aging abilities.

This doubt, banter, and discussion are great for boxing. The prospect of Lomachenko vs Rigondeaux taking place in December as well means that boxing will be providing the public with a super fight and a biggish fight(Haye vs Bellew) all in the same month. This would be a great end of a top quality year of boxing.
